Delete your account

This removes the account itself, not just its copy of your diary:

your handle, freed for someone else to take
your email address, if you attached one
every entry, mark and verdict stored on the server
your cover photographs
your friendships and follows

The diary on your phone is not touched by this page. There is no undo.

If you attached an email address

We send a six-digit code to prove the address is yours — the same check the app uses to sign you in on a new phone.

If you never attached one

Then the account has no email, no password and no way to prove it is yours from a browser — which is the same reason it cannot be recovered if you lose the phone. Nobody can identify it from here, and a form that accepted a handle would let anyone delete anyone's diary, since handles are public.

Two ways round it, both from the app:

Settings → Delete your account. The phone is already holding the session, so nothing needs proving.
Or attach an email first, under Save your account, then come back here.
